Big transfer from Stratford to Ropesville Ropes.

Ganado had a big time rb from a big program come and want to work out in Ganado this summer. I think Ervin turned him down since he didn't move here... He ended up staying where he was. I don't want to say the town out of respect for the kid and town.

I was going to order our ring and book my hotel. We really would have won state almost guaranteed. Not the 1st time a big time move in didn't work. 2/3 years ago a rb from El Campo was enrolled at Ganado but apparently he had already played 4 years of hs football. So he left Ganado after a few weeks and enrolled in college. That was weird. 2011 a d1 wr from Ganado had moved to Edna. He was going to come back to Ganado for his 2011 senior year but didn't. 2003 a big time rb from Palacios almost came but he was Valedictorian and his mom wouldn't let him leave and lose his scholarship that goes with it.

We do finally have one. He will be a senior from Edna but can't play until week 4. They have been in Ganado schools since mid September and love Ganado but never moved here so they have to wait a full year. Can't wait to see what he can do.

I get it at least the dude's brother is on the Ropes coaching staff. Stratford has a very strong tradition in its own right. It's not like the QB isn't taking a risk there, as well.

I tend to be very cynical on a most transfers. For some reason, I'm cool with this one. Maybe I'm being lazy on my thought process.
