Shout out to a local 1A school, Fayetteville, on making their first ever state title game in Boys Basketball.

They will take on Valley HS out of Turkey, TX. Valley has two 6’9 brothers that are Senior and Soph.

That's crazy for 1a. I saw Fayetteville last year and they were good. I think right after high school I went with my dad to Fayetteville where he bought a school bus from Fayetteville ISD. My dad's former coach from Rockport was a retired Ganado superintendent. He was in his first year as a Rockport coach when my dad was a senior in 1972. Forward to 2001 and we moved here from Tomball. He worked at Fayetteville and Flatonia after he was retired and called my dad when they had school busses for sale. My dad has had a part time school bus business in Edna since 1995.

I always thought that Fayetteville, Flatonia, La Grange, Shiner, Hallettsville, Moulton, Yoakum, Weimar, Schulenburg were fantastic towns. Wish my wife would move to one of them. I never did get a football player. We have a daughter, our only child.

Yeah, Weimar is pretty bad this year. They are .500

On a side note, after a weekend at the Alamodome, I can say two things…

1). The Alamodome limits teams offensive output due to depth perception. Saw great shooters miss badly in the first half of games.

2). DFW >>>>>> the rest of the state in Basketball. They went 7 for 7 in state title games.

Taking our younger 8th grade Weimar team to another Houston tourney next weekend. We put them in a 9th/10th grade tourney to get a more physical feel and better competition. We may go 0-3 but it will be worth it.

I feel very confident Ganado and Flatonia will get 3rd and 4th in district in Baseball.

Weimar’s only shot was having their best freshman pitcher perform well and he injured his arm.

Weimar will be a distant 5th.

Ganado baseball beat Weimar 10-0. That's scary because our baseball team is 6-6-1. Not as good as the previous several years. Schulenburg beat us 3-2 and Shiner probably will beat us. Hopefully we beat Fayetteville or Flatonia or else we could miss the playoffs.

Schulenburg beat Shiner 3-2 in baseball as well lol. Girls beat them 15-0 in 3 innings though.

Prayers for him. My brother graduated with his mom and she was right there filming it.
Horrible. I pray for a speedy recovery for him! I have a pretty good idea of who you may be talking about because of deduction when talking about your top 3.

He's in rehab. :banana-dance:

Thank you. I've been told a timetable but I think it's premature to know for sure.

Weimar looking to damage across all sports next year and beyond with the current 8th graders? I hate to see Weimar struggling like this in baseball with such a rich history.
