I don't know much about the town of Refugio itself. Why is it dying? I see they have a Wataburger, McDonald's, Burger King, HEB.

I think it’s a lack of industry to be honest. There used to be an oil field presence around there but it’s faded out. But I can’t think of any major industry there off the top of my head.

Ok. Makes sense. I thought I heard 77 is bypassing Refugio now. People don't have to drive through it anymore.
