Dude is good at coaching football, but he must wear on people somethin fierce.

I know when he was a WF RIder there was a part of the WF's population that did not like him for the way he did things. Then again they may have been Old High people but the nonetheless part of the reason he left and went to Iowa Park. Unfortunately, he never really had success there but improved their facilities and now "steals" playoff games from Wichita Falls Memorial Stadium. Just my opinion but now it looks like he bounces from job to job where there is a better chance to win. Alto has a rich tradition of success, can't be easy to coach there.

Some good coaches are talent chasers. Stay a few years but after the talent runs dry they go somewhere and keep winning.

I had heard rumblings Petrolia was open but didn’t see a job posting on Region 9 ESC website. They named their OC Derek Winn AD/HFC after not renewing their previous coach.

Petrolia needed to fill the athletic director/head football coach opening after telling Blassingame his contract wouldn’t be renewed on Dec. 17 despite a 13-9 record and two playoff appearances.
The decision stemmed from Blassingame moving his younger daughter back to Holliday ISD at semester and Petrolia ISD considering it a conflict of interest.
