Enrollment numbers
Re: Enrollment numbers
By my count and it could fluctuate by a few students, if you are sitting 235-242, I’d be in the flip a coin camp of 3A or 2A.

Re: Enrollment numbers
That would be a first! Never say never but in the last 20 years it has never gotten smaller
3A Lowest Enrollment
2024 254
2022 250
2020 230
2018 225
2016 221
2014 220
2012 200
2010 200
2008 200
2006 195
2004 190
Talking to an old board member from Valley View - their superintendent thinks it goes up 5 students to 259 which would put VV back in 2A. They lost a lot of kids after the tornado.

Re: Enrollment numbers
It’s a function of balancing the divisions and classifications. I don’t think we’ve seen intra state migration like we’ve seen the last couple of years.Windthorstfan wrote: ↑Fri Oct 31, 2025 1:53 pmThat would be a first! Never say never but in the last 20 years it has never gotten smaller

I heard from an AD and a Super they thought it would go down 10-15 kids. Until recently, I only followed 4A and up because of where we lived and where I grew up, so maybe yall know more than me on this, but it was explained to me pretty clearly on the dynamics this go around.

Re: Enrollment numbers
lol! A good source told me every class right now has between 50 and 60 students. I expect Shiner to be around 200 or 210ganadofan1 wrote: ↑Fri Oct 31, 2025 2:31 pm Makes you wonder... haha Big decisions being made in town today. What's more beneficial, d1 or d2.jk

Re: Enrollment numbers
So there are some schools previously 2AD1 that are now well below 2AD2. There are several on the cusp too. I think we very well could see a cutoff drop. Also, Dilley at 233, Banquete supposedly in the 220s, Taft in the 230s and Monte Alto down south in the 230s supposedly
