J.C. looked really solid in all four of their scrimmages against larger schools. There are still some small things they need to work on, but overall things look good. The Eagles open the season on Monday against a good Blanco team and then head to the Brady tournament on Thursday.

J.C. lost their opener to Blanco 6-1. They actually no hit Blanco, but errors and walks in the final two innings were the Eagles undoing. A lot to clean up for J.C., but the season is young. They head to the Brady tournament Thursday.

J.C. goes 2-0 in the Brady tournament, beating Hamilton 12-2 and Brady 11-2. Pitching was solid with 22 Ks and only 1 earned run allowed in both games combined. The team looked good, but still some stuff to clean up. Busy week ahead with 5 games!

J.C. goes 5-0 on the week, including 4-0 in the Hamilton tournament. The Eagles definitely looked better than last week, but still have a lot to clean up fielding wise. They start district next week against Junction.

J.C. run ruled (5-2) Junction 13-1 in 5 innings to open district last night. Next they play Junction Friday in J.C. and then 6A Killeen varsity and 6A Lake Travis JV on Saturday at the Burnet tournament.

J.C. goes 3-1 on the week. They beat Junction(twice) and 6A Killeen while losing to the Lake Travis JV. Next week the continue district against Goldthwaite and then try to avenge a season opening loss to Blanco.

Ganado is 2-4-1

Boling 0-11
Tidehaven 3-3
Yoakum 1-2
Louise 27-0
Hallettsville 2-11
Brazos 3-4
Giddings 10-1

I am disappointed in the Boling and Brazos scores but everyone except Louise is bigger than Ganado.
