"MART, Texas (KWTX) - Mart Head Football Coach Kevin Hoffman announced his retirement on X on Thursday.
Hoffman had incredible success with Mart winning three consecutive state championships from 2017 to 2019.
The sure to be Hall of Famer also led the Panthers to three more state title games in 2020, 2022, and 2023.
According to Dave Campbell’s Texas Football, Hoffman is the second-fastest coach in UIL Texas high school football history to 100 wins.
He will finish his career with a record of 121 wins and just 13 losses.
Hoffman briefly retired in 2022."

Dang, so the Burg will have a change coming. Seemed like they were doing good too. That must have been a promotional move

Yes. They had a good thing going. It was announced on DCTF. I don't blame him.

Lots of stuff going on in Mart....Hoffman retiring goes back to January of last year when the school board called a Special Meeting to discuss the Superintendent and Mart ISD AD. A week after that meeting another School Board meeting was called to accept a Trustee's resignation. Instead of resigning though the School Board President resigned as the board president. In doing this bit of research just now I see the Board fired the Superintendent, November 25th.

Hopefully we get a jumbotron and an indoor practice facility both of which are on the list here in Ganado. Idk if it'll happen but I hope so.

Shiners Offensive Coordinator has taken the Head Coaching position at Pleasanton. Shiner has an opening at OC. Not as high profile as the Mart HC position. But still very high profile. Considering the talent Shiner has coming through lol.
