Goldthwaite isn't playing around. I wonder if they have guys back from injury recently?

Not sure, I think they have some younger players and moved a few around from what I read. Kinda gave them a new look a few weeks before playoffs

Same team as all year with some of the JV guys playing up that are helping. Just took them a few weeks to hit their stride. The boys have bought into the program and the coaches are doing a great job. They had 3 freshman starting last night.

Hitting their stride just in time to make some noise when it matters!!

I’ll add to that.
Goldthwaite’s qb is making better reads as the season progresses. With this offense that’s critical.
The freshman team has never lost a single game in any sport. (Except the two who have been on varsity since the San Saba game)
We have some great athletes who will be playing the next several seasons.

That is just right. Hitting your stride when it matters. I think of those baseball teams that are wild card winners. If you are playing good when it matters, that is what matters. There is not a clear cut favorite in d1 or d2.

I think San Saba lost to Crawford because their qb was hurt. He is just a Sophomore but he is a great player.
