Collinsville over Muenster 9-2 than 11-1 (in 5 innings). Jenkins state record streak of scoreless innings ended at 65. That's one less distraction for the playoff run I suppose and an amazing accomplishment to boot!

Shiner over Freer 17-0 game 1 and 1-0 in game 2. Shiner advances to face Ganado again.

J.C. beats Evadale 5-2 in game two to complete the sweep. Ledbetter pitched well and timely hitting helped the Eagles take this one. J.C. will face a very good Mumford team and the next round.

J.C. plays Mumford Friday @ 7 in Bastrop in a single game. This should be a pitchers duel in Jacobs versus Castorena both Seniors. The Eagle bats will need to be at their best though, because Castorena is one of the best pitchers in the state. If this was a series, I'm not sure J.C. would be able to win, but a single game definitely levels the playing field. Timely hitting and whoever makes the least mistakes will determine the outcome in this one!

Not necessarily Texas high school baseball, but Johnny Slawinski from J.C. was selected to be on the Canes National 17U/New York Mets Scout team roster for the summer which is a huge honor. Awesome seeing 2A kids getting national recognition!

J.C. walks it off in the bottom of the 7th to beat Mumford 6-5 and advance to the next round! The Eagles were down 5-3 going into the bottom of the 7th and after Mumford walked in a run, Ledbetter hit a two out single that drove in two runs to win it. Props to Mumford, they played a heck of a game!
