That's awesome, looks like y'all are going to be super solid again this season!

J.C. went 3-1 on the week. In their first week back from basketball Jacobs and Slawinski combined for 43 Ks and 0 runs in 18 IP. They also each had a HR! As a whole, consistency and chemistry is what this team needs to work on as they dominated a good Hamilton 24-0 only to lose to a not so good McGregor team 2-1 the next day. This week J.C. starts district play against Sonora (4-4) and then on Saturday heads to the Burnet tournament to play 4A Burnet (9-1) and 4A Glen Rose (6-5).

Last weeks results for J.C. (5-3):

J.C. 8 Randolph 5
J.C. 5 Moody 0
J.C. 24 Hamilton 0
J.C. 1 McGregor 2

J.C. 6-3 (1-0) beat Sonora 11-0 in 5 innings last night. Jacobs and Slawinski pitched a combined perfect game.

Shiner has been busy this week thus far. Competing in the Jimmy Appelt tournament in Hallettsville this week/weekend. They’ve played 3 games so far.

Game 1: Port Lavaca Calhoun(4A) 2 Shiner 1 in 7 innings, timed game, didn’t complet 7 innings…

Game 2: Shiner 12 Cuero(4A) 2

Game 3: Shiner 3 Navarro(4A) 2

There’s a 4th game against Hallettsville tomorrow. Heard that they’re darn good too!

[Jon91]

J.C. beat Sonora 18-0 tonight. Ledbetter had 10 Ks in 5 IP and only allowed 2 hits. Tomorrow J.C. heads to the Burnet tournament and faces 4A Glen Rose (10-5) and 4A Burnet (12-2). Our aces should be pitching in those games so it will be a good measuring stick of what this team should be capable of against tough competition!

Shiner finished that tournament with a 2-1 loss to Hallettsville. Not bad considering how good Hallettsville is.
Starting this week they won over Bloomington 23-0.
