Hico/Granger scrimmage
1rst Team : Hico 1TD Granger 1TD
2nd Team : Hico 0 Granger 1
Live QT : Hico 7 Granger 0
Good scrimmage for both teams. No major injuries to report on either team.
Good parts for each team. Granger ran the ball at will, but timing was off in passing as scrimmage went on. Hico offense will be more balanced this year.
The parts teams need to work on. Granger pass defense gave up two scores . one on a miss tackle, and other on a DB bit on the play action. Hico the The O and D -Line will be a work in progress, and needs to stay healthy. Both teams turned the ball over a few times.

Re: Scrimmages
I appreciate it. Ganado has a 6' 4" sophomore out with too many concussions, don't think he will play again. A freshman to start as safety out with an injury for the whole season. Backup qb appeared to break a bone will be out all season likely, one of our wr's broke a finger probably play next week. That is where we stand right now as far as injuries... Add that in and we are at less than 40 kids. Depth is what we don't have at all this year.
As far as the scrimmage our offense did really well when the 1st team was in the game imho. We were working on timing routes, short throws, screens, and a few runs. The other teams especially Normangee had a good 6' 3" wr who they threw it to deep and one of of backup cb's got beat I believe 4-5 times for td's. He hasn't played football in many years and isn't a starter. I don't want to lay any blame on him as it was a scrimmage and he needed to get reps.
