Heard that Water Valley was going back down

Per X - Water Valley turned in 97

Per Matt Stepp Boys Ranch turned in 97. Admin will meet next week to discuss whether to opt up or go 6-man.

Per Matt Stepp - Boys Ranch will play 6-Man in 2024.

Mcade and now Van Horn will move up to 11-Man from 6-Man.
Water Valley, Runge, Benavides, and now Boys Ranch leaving 11-Man.

I counted up from the bottom on Dave Campbells enrollment list. From the bottom up to Corrigan-Camden at 252. I counted 203 schools. I’m not sure if everyone is listed on there yet. Probably a few missing still but it’s gotta be getting close. Hico at 182 is the 101st school… so if this stays relatively close to how it is. The D1/D2 cutoff might find itself in the 180s.

60 Crosbyton 92 Opting up
63 Lasara 150 (Last years TEA 8th - 11 grade enrollment was 110)

Crazy, Rocksprings with only 65 and opting up! If they can compete, why not I suppose.

i just did the same just to 100 schools and if frozen in place today shiner would be 2a d2. thats with 9 schools by my count opting up with 6 man numbers. even wilder is if i count up to 102 like we had for this allignment that puts crawford at 2a d2 as well as of the current listing

I don't know if dave campbles has every single schools numbers but i did count it again for fun this morning and if they are all their i can see the divisional cut offs of around 100 schools apiece. i got 252 for the top of 2a d1 and 182 for the top of 2a d2. both numbers would be raised by at around 10 if there weren't schools with 6 man numbers opting up. likely will be something different but like i said just counting for fun
