J.C. is at 250 cutting it really close..it will be interesting to see where they end up. When does the UIL typically release the new cutoffs?

Yeah I hope we stay too, I've enjoyed the little rivalry we have had with Mason. Hopefully the UIL will increase the threshold for 2A.

Yeah, they’ve changed a few. Shiner started at 178 and changed to 181. I’m pretty sure Shiner will stay D1. But I bet the lower cutoff raises some. Perhaps more than the upper. A lot more have come down on the upper em then are going up. Also been told that more of the D2 end has come up as well. They’re gonna do what they must to keep around 100 schools on either side of the line.

I heard that Bracket and La Pryor would be moving up. Runge, D'Hanis are playing 6 man next year. Pettus has few enough kids to play 6 man, too. Not sure of what they plan to do. A closer district schedule might only be a dream. Stockdale will move back up to 3A.

Haven’t seen all the numbers. But I could see the D2 top end going up to 170 or 175 to keep things even.

Pettus is at 116

No numbers yet for the other 2. I know Kenedy was rumored to be moving up as well. They only turned in 240… so they’ll be around most likely. Schulenburg at 251, Johnson City at 250 might still be around as well.

We will only take the likes of Troy Aikman or Emmett Smith. Any of those guys could transfer... LOL
How about if the 1994 Dallas cowboys offensive line wanted to transfer with them lol. Larry Allen at the 2a level would be murder
Leonard Davis, Wortham, was a 1A (now 2A) player back in 1996-97 school year. He was an All-American lineman at UT and was drafted by Cardinals with the 2nd pick of the 2001 draft. Lost to Tenaha in the 2nd round of the playoffs 26-54.
