We will only take the likes of Troy Aikman or Emmett Smith. Any of those guys could transfer... LOL
How about if the 1994 Dallas cowboys offensive line wanted to transfer with them lol. Larry Allen at the 2a level would be murder

Absolutely, they would be very welcome... They sure made Troy and Emmett's life easier.

But, on a serious note as for Hawley, our elementary numbers are high, and we have 5 or 6 housing developments in the area that could at some point feed our numbers. The only thing is that we were told that now that the interest rates are so much higher things have stopped or are progressing very very slowly now. All this being said, this could affect us years down the road. So, we shall see... One of the main reasons the Hawley area has not seen the growth that has happened to the south, southeast, southwest, and northeast of Abilene, which has added to the Wylie and Jim Ned school districts as well as Abilene, is the fact that Pride Refinery and the City trash dump is on the north side of Abilene. These are not next to Hawley by any means as it is eleven miles to Hawley from Abilene, but these two major obstacles keep people from wanting to build this way. So, this has helped us through the years, but several of these new housing developments are past these on prime farmland that has been broken up into lots for houses. So, only time will tell how this will change our school district.

Shiner has something similar going on. Land prices have sky rocketed though, combined with the interest rates increasing. Growth just stalled out for the time being. So we’ll see what the future brings.

Hico has just under 190 , and will likely move up to Div 1.

That's interesting but I thought winters was a likely candidate to move down and last I had seen Albany would only move up if they don't increase the limit. If they don't then there is a lot of schools moving up. I can't seem to get tea numbers like I could before

Falls City has 114 in high school. We will stay 2A Div 2. Stockdale will more than likely move back up to 3A. I think they have 274 in high school. I just hope that we will be in a different district next year, not because of competition, but because of having 3 schools which are close to 3 hours away. That makes it really hard to get junior high and JV games in on Thursday night or try to find someone to play that is closer to home. UIL sure does have a weird way of doing things.

Word is Shiner turned in 178… that’s the lowest number I’ve seen in nearly 20 years in Shiner. There are some small groups going though right now. If they raise the D1/D2 cutoff by 15, which they very well could, Shiner might find itself in D2

the number will not move up by 15---looking at numbers I see it staying the exact same----or close to it 2- or 3 one way or the other!
