Team of the Week : Morton : Rejoining the 11-man ranks this year started on on a good note. Morton defeated Tom Bean 26-22.
Upset of the Week : Eldorado over San Saba 42-20.

Windthorst has some things to clean up. 5 turnovers typically gets you beat. I hate comparing teams to a previous year but when you win a State Championship it’s going to happen, that being said we only turned the ball over 7 times. Obviously helped that defense had 3 takeovers. Defense played lights out despite giving up a 93 yard touchdown pass as the other 34 plays Henrietta ran only gained 40 yards. Their other score came on a pick 6. Henrietta finished with negative rushing yards. Despite the turnovers offense moved the ball. Finished with almost 400 yards of offense. 2 fumbles lost inside the 10 yard kept us from scoring more.
