Texas State Parks - Garner
Texas State Parks - Garner
Me and my family enjoy camping. We have stayed at a few State Parks throughout Texas and so far Garner State Park has been the best we have seen so far! When we went it was mostly during the week so not quite as busy as other people had commented on their site, but still a lot there. It is spread out so it doesn't seem like its crowded and there is so much river that you find plenty of places you can relax away from others. If you want you can go farther down and there is a large open area that had quite a few people and was a blast. The only negative thing I can say is I wish our site had more shade.

Garner is by far the most popular and most booked state parks in Texas. I haven’t been camping there in years other then a day trip or 2 lol. Usually while visiting nearby Leaky or Concan.

I have camped here 3 times and all 3 times were a blast! It's a must visit park, especially if you're a teen or in your early 20's!

My girlfriend and I went and visited this classic a few weeks ago. First time I’ve been since I was a kid. February is obviously off-season, so it wasn’t difficult to book. You can’t find a prettier spot on the Frio River. Super clear water and some insane swimming holes! Especially on a river which is known for being so shallow in most places! Didn’t swim of course, too darn cold! A must see park for anyone!

Garner is a place I cherish and would like to visit next year again. It's been a few years, like 10.
