Week 10 Games of the Week
Muenster at Collinsville - likely for the district championship. Both teams heavily favored in week 11.
Wheeler at Wellington - Likely for the district championship. A Wheeler loss would have Wheeler/Shamrock matching up in week 11 for the district runner-up.
Albany at Roscoe - A Roscoe loss against Albany will set up a Miles/Roscoe week 11 game for district runner-up. A Roscoe win could force a three-way time at the top.
Sundown at Tahoka - A Tahoka win, and there is likely to be a three-way tie for the district championship. A Sundown win, Sundown most likely locks up the district championship.
Windthorst at Electra - the Electra loss this week killed the hype of this game, Electra could still win district with a win over Windthorst. An Electra loss, Electra will likely finish third in the district.
Overton at Mt. Enterprise - An Overton win, would almost seal the deal for Overton to finish second in district. A ME win, the district could get at little messy.
Yorktown at Falls City - I don't see Yorktown beating Shiner in Week 11, this is the battle for the district runner-up.

Playoff Predictions through Week 9 Games

Region 1
Gruver will be on the top half of the bracket. No one will challenge them to the Regional Finals.
Stratford and Wink will be on the bottom half of the bracket and will meet in the second round. The winner of this game will play Gruver for the Region 1 championship. To me, this is pretty much a lock.

Region 2
I’ve got Collinsville, Windthorst, and Wellington on the top half of the bracket for Region 2. I’m picking Collinsville to come out on top. I see a very competitive second round game and third round game with these three teams.
Muenster and Albany should easily meet up in round 3, with Muenster coming out on top.
The only thing that could change Region 2 is Collinsville defeating Muenster this week. Hope for a heck of a game this coming Friday, but my prediction from the beginning of the year is Muenster wins district.

Region 3
This is all about District 10 and District 11.
Mart is on the top half of the bracket. I see them playing Grapeland or Wortham in round 3, but Mart goes to the Regional Finals.
The bottom half has Bremond, Lovelady, and Wortham. I’ve got Bremond over Lovelady in Round 2 and then Bremond over Wortham in round 3.

Region 4
Shiner is on the bottom half of the bracket and will not be challenged until possible the regional finals. Agua Dulce, should match up with Shiner in the third round. Junction and Falls City meet up in round 2. I expect the winner of this even match up playing Shiner in the regional finals.


Region 1 – Gruver over Stratford
Region 2 – Muenster over Collinsville
Region 3 – Mart over Bremond
Region 4 – Shiner over Falls City

Semi Finals – Muenster over Gruver
Semi Finals – Shiner over Mart

I don't keep up with Division 1 like I do Division 2. Division 1 were most all 2A schools in the OG’s 1ATexasFootball days.
