Weimar was up 17, down 3, then won 60-57

Flatonia won’t win state. Mason will handle them easily.

They are #1 and a walking AAU team.

36-1. Wow. They beat a good 5a Victoria West.

I actually think Weimar was better than Flatonia.

On to softball. Ganado improved to 6-0 with a 10-0 win over Hallettsville. We have 4 wins vs 4a teams and 2 wins vs 3a teams.

Shiner softball beat Navarro 20-0 a 4a team. I'm not sure of Shiner's record.

Beat em 20-0 in 3 innings too, I’ll look into their record. I know they’ve struggled a little early. They have several key players still in basketball at the moment.

Weimar shouldn’t have blown leads with under 2 to go to Burg twice, Bloomington and Shiner. Hell, just one of those puts them into the playoffs.

Weimar Baseball and Softball will be way down this year, and those are their golden children of the Athletic Dept. Weimar Baseball is starting 4 freshmen. They are good, but that usually doesn’t play out well.

The Weimar 8th Basketball finished out their JH career 29-1, with the lone loss to a JH feeding LaMarque by 1. There will be a handful of them playing Varsity Football, Basketball and Baseball next year.

Looks exciting for Weimar.

Weimar missed baseball playoffs for the first time in nearly 30 years. That can't sit well in Weimar. I know the baseball district was extremely tough though.

You guys better all watch out. I heard Skidmore Tynan has a group of 5-year-olds that run 6.75 forties, can already make baskets on the 10-foot goal and all of them touch 35 MPH on the radar gun.

It didn’t. Especially when you had a decent ace. The coach isn’t bad, but isn’t great. They will probably miss again this year, but could sneak in 4th place. They will really need the better two Freshmen pitchers to perform and get some bat help from that group.
