Goldthwaites got 3 studs on that 7th grade team. And thier 4th LB is no slouch. I coached Coleman's 7th grade team the last 5 years as my sons pop warner coach and they haven't been beaten like that ever. And we played Clyde, Jim Ned, Early, Eastland and Breckenridge last year in peewee. Our best linemen has been out all season but Coleman still has some studs on thier 7th grade squad and goldy put it to us hard. My sons are 6th and 7th graders and seeing what Goldthwaite has on that 7th grade team did not excite me about my sons future in district lol.
I agree but….what worries me and most people in Goldthwaite is that our Seniors last year were undefeated in JR High and you see how things worked out for them on varsity. You can have all the talent but on Friday nights you still need good (blanks).

De Leon's 7th graders had never lost much of any sport in their lives before Thursday, either, and the Goldy 7th graders won pretty big.

Boys develop so much from 7th grade to 11-12 grade. The biggest fastest kid in 7th grade can become just average when on Varsity. I saw a kid go from playing football for the first time ever in 9th grade to an All-State OL in 12th at only 6'0 210. I personally went from 5'2 170 as a Freshman to 5'9 210-220 in 11th-12th.
