Is that still being played in Marlin? Thought I read something that said their field wouldn't be ready and they wouldn't come to Mart to play either. Then again it could just be message board chatter!!!

Hawley vs Lubbock Roosevelt at Hawley, has been moved to Wylie's Hugh Sandifer Stadium on Friday night, now at 7:30 pm.

Sadly, Hawley's Football field is under water, too much rain and poor drainage throughout the town and school property.


Also, I was told that there will not be a concession stand because of short notice and all of Wylie's fans will be out of town for their game.

Yes, currently "Lake Forrest Field", formerly Bearcat Stadium / Forrest Field... I need to stop, just adding more water, and we certainly don't need any more in Hawley, as we have received near 8 inches in places...

The field will probably be okay after it dries up. This is not the first time it has happened if memory serves me right. The field has flooded before.
