Wonder if "Select Teams" pop up if football season is nixed.

Will be intersting....do they sacrifice other sports and push part of the football season into next year. I know we are not a powerhouse in basketball but I could see some of kids bypassing basketball in order to get ready for baseball season. Some already do this.

Honestly with all of the outbreaks all over the state it is a wonder they haven't already said welcome to Basketball season... That would probably help Eagle1's stress level...

They told us in March to shelter in place; they closed the US down and told us it would pass in a few weeks. They said that again in April. It's mid-July and it's worse than it was in March. What do we do? This ain't Ebola or the Spanish flu as far as killing people, but it is a tricky little bug that keeps fooling doctors and scientists.
Do we wait for the vaccines? Will one pan out? If it does, will it be about as effective as flu vaccine (50-60%)? Will the virus evolve; has it already? Will we be more ready on September 28? In November? December? Next July?
A few months ago we were told it would go away in summer but we might have a second surge during the winter. HAH!
Unless you are going to pretend you are going to provide an effective 'virtual education', you know, for bilingual ed students, kids with learning differences/difficulties, gifted, the college bound, and every one else, including all those who have two parents working all freakin day, you need to start school.
If you have classes, can you, with a straight face, say playing football is more dangerous than classrooms and hallways? Remember, the research says it transmits far better indoors, and you need at least 15 minutes prolonged close exposure to a carrier to contract it if you are outside.
Test the team members and staff, screen everyone daily, and let's go play. This thing isn't going away anytime soon. Do the things you can do, but we can't 'not live' forever.
