Almost there. Two fumbles and a INT cost us, then the refs screwed us at the end. Indefensible call on the onside kick.

In the end, we were playing 7 underclass men and almost got it done despite the mistakes.

It was gut wrenching, but failure is your greatest teacher. I had to tell mine that last night. Harness this feeling and let it piss you off and drive you because it doesn’t matter now, here comes Shiner.
Shiner definitely isn’t Kenedy. Lions got talent no doubt. But Shiner overall is better and faster across the board from position to position. I expect a good game this week though! Weimar is a good young team! Shiner will have to be on their game. Especially on the road.
I agree 100%.

Told my Freshman to buckle it up and be ready for a physical game.

Weimar outgained Kenedy 478-299. 3 turnovers to their 1 was the main difference. Our corners completely shut down Russell after the first TD pass. Jackson did a good job on misdirection down the stretch and we were thin with lingering injuries and those kids playing through it.

Still hate they took the onside away from us. Watched it 99 times. In no normal universe, is that their ball with 140 left.

Barring a fumble I think we ram it down their throat and score.

Yeah yeah, you’ve made it clear you want to see Shiner fall. Love how scared yall are of the potential rematch in the playoffs. Makes me laugh every week! lol!
I am anticipating a 14-21 point Shiner win vs Weimar.

Now as for Ganado and Shiner we get our best wr/db finally back vs Flatonia. We did lose our big d lineman acl on a sack in 1st quarter vs Wallis Brazos.
We haven't lived up to the hype partially due to injuries and also just not playing good enough in all phases of the game. I will say the punt return fumbled td vs East Bernard likely cost us and a horse collar on 4th and 15 cost us vs Brazos. We could easily be 4-0. Even then it just feels like we aren't playing good. We are giving up 25 points a game and the offense is struggling to throw the ball.
Now I have Shiner beating us by 7-14 unless we start playing like the team we should be. I really need to see how our player who broke his leg in triple jump will perform. Can he be as good or better than last year? How much of a boost will he provide? If there's not a big improvement then we are in trouble. We probably would still beat Weimar and Kenedy but would lose to Thorndale or Rosebud Lott. I am hoping our coaches get things fixed and players start playing as we should.

I actually picked y’all to win last night. I just wasn’t fully sold on Kenedy. I know they’re good. But they just hadn’t really played anyone solid yet. And they just survived against a young, solid team.

Ganado lost to 2 very solid 3A programs! I’m not sleeping on them Indians one bit! Injuries have been a nuisance for us all so far. Shiner has been down 5+ starters virtually every week as well. Rested several last night. They moved up 7 JV boys and all of them played a lot last night. Danbury sorta provided an extra bye week for the Comanches since they don’t get one till the last week of the season. I expect a dogfight in Weimar this week and Ganado! Comanches have Kenedy on the road too! Tough stretch to have all the toughest games on the road this season! But I guess you can look at the brightside, that means all 3 have to play at Comanche Stadium next season!

Yes the road game at Kenedy is a little scary. The Ganado Shiner game should be a good one.

I am hoping we dominate Flatonia and get to extend our bye week by resting players 2nd half. It also allows backups playing time and experience. Bloomington as a final game should also give us that opportunity before heading into the playoffs. Hopefully an easy 1st round extends the rest we need before things get tough in the 2nd round.

Agreed, with the way Refugio has been up and down. Who knows if one of us gets them round 1.

Joaquin's win over Mansfield was probably as impressive of a win that Joaquin has ever had. From just an eye test, it looked like Joaquin was going to be in trouble. Mansfield came in as the #1 ranked division 3 Louisiana school, and they were impressive. They were huge across the board, had incredible team speed, and were a one-way player at every position. I am not sure we will see a more impressive defensive front this season. They slowed our run game down, and we proceeded to throw the ball for nearly 150 yards in the first half and then Cooper Bragg went crazy, and Joaquin was able to pull off the major upset.
