2026-2027 Athletic School Year Discussion

I see he was at El Campo recently. Nice pickup for Weimar.

Saw Quincy, Jarvis, Logan Bures, WR from Edna now at Ganado, Brody Popp and a few others from District 15 at A&M-Kingsville Prospect Camp yesterday.

We have some good athletes in our district for sure. It'll be interesting how it shakes out.

Gonna be another year or so for Weimar Baseball unless they play all the FR studs they supposed to have. This past year was not good for varsity and JV. Also there were a couple more Shiner kids at the same camp but you can wait to see them on the field Friday Nights. Did see Nados move in from Edna wow yes he will definitely help Nado out a lot he was moving at the camp. He will be trouble for everyone.

He'll he a senior so unfortunately just starting week 4 we get him. He does have 2 brothers I believe. A freshman lineman should be on varsity.

Shiner JR League girls Southwest champions. Now moving on the the LL World Series.

I believe so. 7th-8th grade

We have an outstanding freshmen class coming in as well. Have a 6'4 270 freshman that is a ranked baseball prospect. Granted it was batting practice pitching but has hit home runs at Globe Life in Arlington, OU, and Dallas Baptist in showcases. He has been named a Top Prospect by Perfect Game. Another kid who will probably be our QB after this season, was the 6th man during summer league basketball. Two other freshmen played the week our varsity players attended a football camp and were able to defeat our rivals to the west handily. Nothing like your JV team beating your rival's varsity team! That group also beat a 4A size JV out of Oklahoma. I would say our basketball future is bright but we run into 2 non-football schools in the 1st round of the playoffs. The 8th grade team beat 4A Krum last year in a tournament after they were wondering why a 2A school was playing in a tournament they were in! Another freshman plays travel baseball with a select team out of Dallas. I maybe wrong but I expect there to be quite a few freshman on varsity baseball next year. Very talented group.
