Kenedy has the best athlete in 2A in state, and he’s a Freshman. Quincy from Shiner can argue that, and I’d listen, but he is what comes to mind next.

Then they have some average to maybe slightly above sprinters behind Russell, to go with their traditional good long distance runners.

Russell is a 60-70 point athlete for Kenedy. It’s pretty insane.

They absolutely Do Not win if he isn’t there. I’ll break it down later, but his splits get them 1st in the relay, and his open times and jumps speak for themselves.

He's going to really be a problem for pur district and the state over the next 3 years. Having a d1 athlete at that level is a big advantage. Brooks from Shiner, etc.

I understand what you mean but if you take away Ernest Cambell from Refugio they still win district those 4 years. Ernest is very fast, but he didn't run on the mile relay that won gold every year and also wasn't in any field events. Refugio wins district, regionals, and possible at least 1 state title. Not sure you can say the same about the kid from Kenedy. But I'm very intrigued and impressed by Kenedy. Seems like they have some good athletes. Refugio is down across the board and will be for the next few years. This is the worst track team they've had in years and next year will be worst football team they've had since literally 2005. On a side note, Ernest is going to get a lot of exposure this coming season for Colorado playing under Coach Prime. It's going to be a very interesting and exciting season in Boulder. Looks like he's going to be playing some, possibly even starting or at the very least heavy in the rotation.

I mistyped it. Refugio is always loaded with a number of athletes and yes they still win district easily without him. Speed is something Refugio rarely lacks.

I am a UH fan and would like to see Colorado vs UH in Boulder. I missed the game last year because I went to the Ganado East Bernard game and then this one will also be on a Friday also. I hate when we play on Friday's.
