It was an excellent game. Congrats to Muenster. Their QB is amazing. Shiner fought hard and has nothing to hang their heads about. That freshman DB was great (#22). MVP on defense. Wow!

Shiner has nothing to hang their heads about! I knew the Comanches had a chance to be here. But figured they were another yeah away. But there they were, with chances to win this game themselves! Shiner only loses 5 seniors. Look out 2A! Comanches will be back!

great game Shiner may win it all next year but if you listened to the commentators,Muenster had a lot of jr's this year including the qback,they will be a tough nut to crack next year

Man, Victoria Advocate got ripped apart today. Posted an article about Shiner losing to Muenster. It was titled “Shiner gets a taste of its own medicine in state title game”. Not only got people from Shiner ruffled up, people from all over the Crossroads region were ripping them on social media for it. I added a screen shot. They deleted the article, posted a different headline and posted an apology article this evening. I was amazed by how hard they got bashed by folks from all over the surrounding area. Lots of small towns around here, and they didn’t like that either lol. We small town folks take football very seriously in Texas. Apparently the sports writers at Victoria Advocate either forgot that, or are new to area and didn’t know any better. A Shiner hater might’ve been the cause too. Who knows lol.

This was a great game. NO doubt the best 2 teams ended up playing at State. Everyone with there Shiner one year away comments are annoying because Muenster brings back 8 on defense and 7 on offense. So i guess Muenster will be back also. I think Region 2 will be a gauntlet again next year. Congrats to Shiner on a good season and to the Muenster Hornets for winning it all.

Thanks Shiner for a great matchup & I thought the crowd was large for being the last game of Wednesday night.
8th grade & JV went a combined 16-1 this year so I think we will be in contention for deep playoff runs the next several years but never take it for granted. Suppose to be bringing band back starting next year so that helps bring excitement to the games.
