I wasn’t at the game but the report I got was the starters were in the game but Goldthwaite played its best complete game of the season.
I don’t think there is any truth about the Mart coach. Probably just rumors.

The mighty Overton Mustangs took out the Panthers 31-30 last night, before Round 3 of the playoffs for the first time since 2015.
It's one thing to come back to the pack, but that last game of the regular season and this result give pause, for sure.

Nothing to come clean about. Overton is a good team. Mart is not having it's typical dominant year. Overton won the game.
Sometimes there are no conspiricies in losing a football game.

The last time Mart played fewer than 13 games was 2015, Hoffman's first campaign with the Panthers was an 8-3 tally. Father time comes for football programs- I get that, but it's the absence of that early exit from the POs that in and of itself makes it conspicuous. Add in the Goldy game and how it went down, and I'm sorry, but "Aw shucks, that's just football!" doesn't pass the smell test.
That Overton game in and of itself might not be that weird, but by the same token, show me another result like that in Mart's recent history. Mart had won 28 straight playoff games in its own Region, while returning 8 starters on both sides of the ball from a 15-1 State Finalist. Overton is a quality opponent, and I did not mean to imply otherwise, that's why they strap on the pads and kick the ball off. I get it. Gimme another season with examples like those, is all I'm saying. They stand out.

No one is taking a win away from Goldy. They won that game! They went out there and whipped em! But I also get what he is saying too. It’s very strange how this season went for Mart. The up and down is crazy after factoring in all the variables! I mean they beat Bremond who is playing for the region championship… it doesn’t make any sense!
