Shiner Comanches 2024

Post by Comanchealumni06 »

This is a little late, but with nowhere else to just talk Shiner Comanches now. Here’s the thread lol. Comanches are now 4-3 on the season.

Big win for the Comanches in a very sloppy game… they definitely showed signs of rust last night. 2 big fumbles inside Beaver territory including one inside the 10 on the opening drive of the game kept the Beavers in the fight. I’ll admit, the officiating was fairly poor in this one for both teams… But none the less, it was very good seeing our old foes and rivals again at Comanche Stadium!

Final Score:

Falls City 3

Thanks for the game information. I think it would be great to have a feed started about Friday night games, I know we have just a handful of active members, but we also have active viewers, and I would love to see these guys participate as well as our active members talk about their team's games. I love high school football and so do all of you or you would not be here each week... So, let's hear about those Friday night games. I know I for one would love to read these game stories and highlights. Yes, some will be more detailed and that's okay, sorry 'Windy', :laughing-rolling: but that's what I love about you brother... You are so statically driven, and given your statistician background, I understand it. So, let's hear those stories... BTW, I will do Hawley's game after the Texas game tonight... Go Horns!!!

FC-Shiner post game thoughts: I thought the defense was the star last night. I was impressed that we kept a mobile and athletic FC QB out of the end zone and held them to a single field goal. We didn't complete a single pass which was typical of our offense but thought we would expand the playbook a little. Gotta clean up the fumbles....the 2nd fumble I say was questionable (I didn't believe it was a fumble). Just gotta continue this momentum into our final remaining games.

Huge blow for the Comanches, our starting TE/DE is out for the season it sounds to a knee injury. Will affect baseball season I’m told too, as he is probably an even better baseball player…. Prayers for his recovery! 🙏🏻

Sorry to hear that. Schulenburg's starting mlb/rb got hurt vs Weimar out for season. Ganado 2001 starting mlb/fb hurt on the 3rd play of game vs Refugio in quarters. After he had 2 15 yard runs to open the game. We won 7-0 then lost in semis to Garrison.

Unfortunately injuries are part of the sport but can alter a team's potential.
