Unnecessary roughness? That's like telling a boxer, no overhand rights and no uppercuts, only jabs. That was not a nice block, it was a very rude block and I liked it.

To me it looks like the roughness part comes from the upward motion of the arm after the block. if he keeps the arm level, no flag.

I don't want anyone getting hurt, but a hit like that is what all football players dream about! It's tackle football! Not touch!!

Pretty much what I was trying to say. The forearm caught him in the chest if you look close enuf, but the motion looks like blow to the head at full speed to an official.

I just looked at the youtube clip of the block. Bell (Neb player) hit the Wisconsin player with his shoulder and shoulder pads in the chest. The clip has a good slo-mo sideline view and it is easily seen. The flag should NOT have been thrown IMHO.

Here is the entire clip ... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=17waZsWdYQA

How about this one? This is what I'm talking about when I say "sounds like Alabama refs". The ref is right there, guess what? No flag!

Thanks Windthorst fan for the help.

This one is a pure cheap shot. Big lineman saw chance to blow someone up that had no bearing on the play. Just a blatant cheap shot. 11 needs to pay attention though. Head on a swivel.
