I am so happy for Denny Faith. I talked to him when I lived there as a little kid and when I moved there in 2000. Great guy.

Albany came out and looked like the best team all night. That OL is something else! Interesting fact. The last two state championships in 1960 and 1961 were coached by Luke Thomas. He eventually became one of the best superintendents a school could ever have. He retired from FC and still lived here when he passed away. His grandson was on the Falls City team who won State in 2010. His other grandsons were on the 2013 and 2021 State teams who lost.

Congratulations to Albany!!! It was a solid win and I enjoyed watching. Well spoken young man who won the MVP. Not only can he play football, but he sounds like he has his education to lean on, too.
