well im backing Hawley in this one though i have heard that crawford defence is pretty good.

Crawford defense is the real deal. Only allowed 69 points all season, probably half those came in garbage time. IMO Hawley hasn't come up against a D like this yet.

Their D gets a lot of notice, but that offense can move the ball very effectively.

Anyone playing now is the cream of the crop and I'm sure Hawley will make it a game. Still, my money's on Crawford.

Crawfords four horsemen can pound that rock.
Their defense will have to keep pressure on Hawleys qb in order to slow that passing attack.
Pirates by 7 if that happens.

Great win by Hawley. I knew they would make a return. They sure have their hands full this coming week though.

Not the result I was expecting but as the old, overused saying goes, "That's why they play the game".
I know Crawford was without one of their key 2-way players (LB/RB), that had to hurt them, but it's next man up and you either got the horse to get the job done or you don't. It's a team sport and looks like the better team won.
One of my co-workers was at the game he said it was a really good one. Crawford was in it and had their chances, just couldn't get over the hump. He told me he thought Hawley was pretty banged up.
Hope the injured Crawford player has a good recovery.

Actually Crawford had a couple more starters on defense and one was a two way starter.
The one kid was later air lifted for a bleeding brain injury but has since been released from the hospital.
The middle linebacker was a key loss and it would have taken Crawfords A game to beat Hawley.
Of course Hawley should remember the significance of losing one of their best players last year as well.
