Shiner wont have turnovers like they did in game against Refugio. Brooks will be super motivated. Both teams will show their playbook this time. Still comes down to who doesnt maje the BIG costly mistake abd who slows down each others running game. Refugio has 5 good running backs Shiner has one great one. Refugio can pass some as well as Shiner. Shiner better beat them this year Refugio will be really tough next year then really good in 24 and 25 after that Refugio not looking so good. Their junior high team was dreadful this year...7th and 8th combined.

When Shiner gets in situations where they have to throw the ball, they will have turnovers. They pass it pretty well when they are giving the ball to Brooks 75% of the time and sprinkle in a pass or two, but they have always had trouble when everyone in the stadium knows they are going to pass. So, Refugio has 5 good backs huh, Bland rushed for 290 yards against y’all last game. I would say that’s better than good. This next game it could be one of the other backs.
It’s a pretty good day when you’re on your way and you like where you’re going, and you’ve got what you want and you want what you’ve got and you’re wise enough to know it.

There was a lot of sloppy tackling for Shiner. If they don’t clean up those tackles. Refugio’s backs will go off again. And Shiner has a solid QB for once in their existence. They can pass when they need to. They just wait until those desperate situations to do it. If they mix it up throughout the game. I’m not sure anyone could beat them this year. But that’s just not what Shiner coaches do… and most years they can’t. Shame they’re not taking advantage of it right now. Would open up Brooks big time. And take a lot of the load off of him.

Refugjo defensive backs are really fast not sure throwing on them is answer. A couple of interceptions when you only get 6 possessions coukd ve fatal. It comes down to better tsckling and how bad Brooks wants it. Refugio has a power back im impressed with too we shall see. I felt it was Timpsons year but looking a lil more down to earth.

Shiner dropped some key passes in that game. One would have gave Shiner the lead with about 2 minutes left. Of course that would have given Refugio plenty of time to win it anyways though lol. Gonna be an exciting game if it happens again!
