Any dark horse teams this year before the season gets started?
I think our Eagles may surprise a few teams this year. 🦅

Petrolia is going to surprise some people. Heard some starters from Henrietta followed Coach West over to Petrolia. They were already going to be big in the line.

I have Hamilton as my darkhorse. Not the same team that left 2A a couple of years ago.

No doubt by looking at that score.
Hamilton 54
Moody 0

I’m glad we played Crawford instead of Hamilton.

Hamilton hired a great coach a couple of years ago. Got put in a tough 3A district the last couple of years with the likes of Rogers, Lexington, and Clifton. They still got 4th place and a playoff spot. Now they are back in 2A. Don't be surprised if they beat Crawford for the District Championship.

I think it was you, Eagle 1 who said; " Hamilton always had the talent, but not the coaching ." Now they have the coaching.

Hard to call them a dark horse cause they’ve been brought up already. And just made the week 2 top 10. But Thorndale will make some noise this season I think.

It’ll be interesting to see what Cooper does against Collinsville this week. Grand Saline was not great by any means but the way Cooper dominated that game was still pretty impressive & it probably could've been worse than 54-0. If Cooper comes out & destroys what should be a pretty solid Collinsville team, then look out. Cooper is in a solid district with Honey Grove, Rivercrest & Wolfe City, so they still have some games that will test them down the road in district. Not trying to suggest that the dawgs are a state title contender but they could for sure make some noise.

Cooper was one of the teams that got my attention in Week 1.
