Yes, the field will be fine, this happens every time we get big and /or continuous rains. The only issue will be and for those that do not know, Hawley's field is still grass. So, the issue will be that the lines and the Bearcat Mascot, which is painted at midfield will probably require repainting. This would not normally be an issue as the Bearcats go on the road for the next three games, but since we are letting Abilene TLCA use our stadium as their home stadium for the next three weeks, there will be some work to be done to get things ready. The interesting thing will be, if it continues to rain throughout the weekend and next week, the field will still be a flooded soggy mess, so I could see Coach Ables working to find another site for them... I guess time will tell.
