Defensively im glad i dont have to try and figure out how to stop them. I guess plan is to limit possessions and just get first downs... idk if that will work either. Starting 10 sophmores and freshman will be tough.
Well Refugio won it lol

Week 4 predictions and overview:

Kenedy @ 2AD2 Somerville - The Lions took a tough rivalry loss last week. And they’ll bounce back big here. Honestly though, the Lions are a long way from competing in their district. Especially scheduling opponents like they do. No offense to the Yeguas. But Kenedy by 35+

4AD2 Bishop @ Refugio - I tip my hat to the Bobcats for talking a 4A into playing them again. Shiner pulled it off this last 2 seasons and they have in the past as well. And the Bobcats will remind them why they shouldn’t play really good 2A schools lol. Refugio rolls on after the upset over Edna. Bobcats by 28

3AD1 Santa Gertrudis Academy @ Skidmore-Tynan - The Bobcats lost a close one to Aransas Pass last week. And they face another close one here I think. And I think they may come up short again. I’ll take the Lions by 3.

3AD2 Banquete @ Three Rivers - This will probably be a good game. But I like what the Bulldogs have going on so far. Well the Bulldogs from Three Rivers I mean. Bulldogs everywhere in this game! Three Rivers by 7 at home.

2AD2 Runge @ Bloomington - Bloomington has a legit chance to go 3-1. I believe they’ll win this one handily. I know it’s not against great competition. But give me them Bobcats by 28

Shiner Comanches @ 3AD2 East Bernard - the Brahmas have flashed signs of greatness this season. And I know they badly want a win. But I don’t believe it comes this week. Shiner is fresh off an ugly win at home over Poth. And I think the Comanches clean some of that up here. They send the Brahmas to 0-4. Shiner by 21

Ganado @ 3AD2 Danbury - Nado has looked impressive so far. I definitely expect them to give Shiner and Refugio a game in the coming weeks. They will take care of the Panthers. Injuns by 14

Week 5 predictions

District 15 2AD1 opens play this week.

Skidmore-Tynan @ Three Rivers - I think the Bulldogs win handily here at home. I think their most likely to get the 4th playoff spot in this district. Tres Rios goes 5-0 with a 24 point victory.

Refugio @ Bloomington - Bobcats vs Bobcats! One thing we know for sure. The Bobcats will win! And this will be over after 1 quarter! Refugio by as many as they want… Poor Bloomington…

Shiner @ Ganado - The Indians look tough this year. And have tan out to a quality 4-0 start! Beating all 3A schools thus far. But I believe the Comanches will still be too much. Shiner looked very very good last week. Ganado will keep it fun in the first half. But I believe Shiner will cruise in the 2nd half to a 28 point victory.

All of last weeks games played out about like I thought. Shiner up 30-6 at half was the only small surprise. Refugio putting up 48 points in one quarter I suppose was kinda out there too…

Week 6 predictions:

Ganado (0-1, 4-1) @ Kenedy (2-2, 0-0) - Ganado took a shellacking from the Comanches last week. But they’re still a solid team. Kenedy was on bye. That extra week won’t help the Lions though. I see Ganado bouncing back big after a disappointing district start. Poor Kenedy… Nado by 28

Three Rivers (1-0, 5-0) @ Refugio (1-0, 4-1) - I never would have guessed that the Bulldogs would be 5-0 to start this season. They sorta surprised me not gonna lie. But it all comes to a close this week. Refugio is a different animal. And on an entirely different level. They hung 48 first quarter points on poor Bloomington. And Tres Rios won’t slow them down none… They didn’t exactly play juggernauts to get that 5-0 record. Bobcats by 35+ in this one.

Bloomington (0-1, 3-2) @ Shiner (1-0, 4-1) - Poor Bloomington… back to back juggernauts in their wake. They allowed 48 points to Refugio in the first quarter last week… Shiner will probably go a bit easier on them. But it will still be long over in the first quarter. That 3-1 start for the Bobcats was neat, but the opponents they played hardly prepared them for this district. Comanches looked impressive last week against Nado. And they definitely don’t get the practice they deserve here… Comanches by as many as they want…

Week 6 results:

Ganado 42 Kenedy 14 - dang, looks like I was spot on here. A 28 point victory for the Indians.

Refugio 58 Three Rivers 7 - yeah, this one went about as I thought too.

Shiner 62 Bloomington 14 - yeah, I witnessed the first half of this one. Shiner took it easy on them… could have been so much worse…
