Very sad for the kids… some players may opt to live with other family to play. I hope the UIL at least allows for that. Since they’re punishing the whole football program.

well if they start enforcing that rule again, much of 6A can sit out this season.

Man I saw this and felt bad for the players. Crazy that missing just 3 students would cause this issue. I know the cutoff was right between the numbers and it did change their division, but if they found an error like that and it did not change anything would that school be banned also?

Don't know this for a fact, but have to think most schools that size don't really care. That being said at the lower divisions there are a lot of athlete's whose PAPF is not approved by District Executive Committees. Case in point is the coach's son that tried to transfer to Gunter from Sherman.

Oh I know. But there are school districts out there that have open transfers for any reason. Been killing Kenedy for years!

Just cause a school has open transfers, doesn’t mean a kid can just transfer and be eligible. Especially now that the season has started a kid will be hard pressed to get a transfer approved by the DEC. Pretty sure all transfers have to submit a PAPF, Previous Athletic Participation Form, to their new school which are then reviewed by the DEC before being deemed eligible.
