Personally, I think Refugio is way too high considering what they lost and how big the gap was between them and Shiner last year. What are yalls thoughts?

When it comes down to it, there is no one in Region IV that can play with Shiner and Refugio. They will meet in the Region Final and thus arguably could be considered a Top 3 team.

DCTF likes Hawley (D4) and Cisco(D4) in Region I final, Marlin (D8) and Crawford(D8) in Region II final, Coleman (D5) plays the runner-up of District 8 in the second round, Timpson(D11) v Centerville (D12) in Round 3 with Beckville (D10) losing in Region Final.

I sorta see your point. I wouldn’t place them lower then 5 though. They’re still extremely fast and definitely one of the top 2 teams in region 4. Herring is an excellent coach too. Never count out them Cats.

Refugio will be young but come week 14 against Shiner will be better prepared. Coach will come up with something. Will be super fast..they easily win track n field title. So it will take some time might even lose a non district game. But i just dont see how it wont be Shiner and Refugio again. Heck Shiner was one fumble away from going for a 4peat. Refugio miracle comeback was amazing tho. I actually was scared big Doug Brooks was going to fumble away game against Timpson. Luckily for him big brotber came thru and intercepted pass and Shiner held on. It eould have been aweful to feel like it was all your fault again...which it wasnt.

No doubt it will be Shiner vs Refugio to decide region 4 again. Gonna be a great season!
