Yes Sir !!! Hats off to Marlin on a great season... No this was not a clean game by any means as both teams made a lot of mistakes, but you just have to buckle down in these types of games and keep playing and do the best you can... I'm so proud of our kids and the way they played. I'm very proud of Coach Ables and his great staff of coaches... Many thanks to all the congratulatory post...

Congratulations to Shiner tonight on their win... We are looking forward to next Wednesday and facing a great Shiner football team... Good luck to both schools...

We had another tough injury on the line last night as our #70 went down in the trenches and I am told that he got stepped on. They got him to the sideline, and he was in so much pain and having trouble breathing, they first thought he had a punctured lung and some broken ribs, but he started changing colors and since this had happened to a previous Hawley player a few years ago, they then suspected his spleen. They sent for the cart and got him on the way to the hospital.

The last report that we have heard is, that he came out of surgery this morning at 5:30 am, they are keeping him heavily sedated as he was in a lot of pain. His surgery has gone well, and he is in recovery.

I pray for a speedy recovery of this young man. He is an absolute force in the trenches and will be missed.

Update on Lonny (#70 for Hawley), he just posted on the app that he wanted to thank everyone for their prayers and that he was moved out of ICU and into a room. He also stated that he was looking forward to watching his brothers play next week for the state title...

Very happy to see this post from this young man, such a great kid and I wish him all the best..

Sadly, he’s a senior, so he’s done… But, there is more to life than football and him being and getting healthy is the main thing….
