That will work for me. I am glad Texas hs football looks like we may play some football because college sure doesn't want to.

I wonder what happens if they start playing and a few games in they cancel it. Would the season count at all for win/loss or would they just throw the entire season away. One thing I worry about is the short time getting ready will we have more kids get hurt.

Well, it seems to me 2A has the same amount of time to get ready. I’m more worried about the lack of games for some teams. Less experience! However I guess that could be a blessing for later in the season as well.

I had heard that some teams had closed practices and some were doing a limited practice schedule. I just wish this stuff would go away so they can play ball. Some college conferences have cancelled football totally. BIG10 and PAC-12. Not sure how others could keep going. Maybe they should stop it all and give the players another year of eligibility. Hate to see them lose a year and only play a few games.

The one thing high school football has going for it is it not dependent on the $$$ from selling seats. Yes, colleges get TV money but don't think losing $15-30M in ticket sales due to states saying no large gatherings didn't play a part in the decision to shut down these conferences. Isn't part of the allure of college sports, students supporting their classmates. B1G also cancelled volleyball, no contact in volleyball. Could have played without fans again goes back to schools relying on that revenue stream....

No doubt, ready for some football. I’ll gladly pay for the streaming of all the games and watch em at home even if they wanted me to. Just let em play!

Idk if y’all noticed or not, but Dave Campbell already replaced Shiner with Refugio at #1. Lol
