Wellington vs New Deal

Post by PaulR01 »

Dave Campbells has me shooting this game tonight. I don't cover New Deal full time any more so if will be nice to get on home turf. This game should be a high scoring knock down drag out. :violence-stickwhack: These teams are about even with the advantage this year going to New Deal. We will know alot more about 2A's landscape after this game. Wellington will have to put the ball in the air to pickup a win.

Why do you expect high scoring? Wellington's grind-it-out style limits possessions. Granted last week against Duncan they had a couple of fumbles that lead to Duncan scores. Ultimately the break backer for them was pick 6 with seconds remaining in the game. This game means absolutely nothing in the big picture of things especially if Wellington is holding out their starting backfield out due to injury concerns. 2019 Hamlin lost to Stratford 6-39 in their last non-district game but them 56-23 in the State Semi-finals.

Wellington will air it out about the same way Army or Navy do in college football.
