Changing mascot names

Post by ganadofan1 »

with the Washington Redskins changing their name and now the Cleveland Indians changing theirs, what does the future hold?

Shiner Comanches
Ganado Indians
Gonzales Apaches
Chicago Blackhawks
Florida State Seminoles

Is there an end in sight?

This has come up before, I don’t see any of these high schools changing their names anytime soon unless forced.

Friona and Crosbyton need your support too...

Booker?

Would love to hear someone tell Quanah to change... given its devout homage to its heritage.

Those are not derogatory, so I guess these so called experts really just want us to totally forget about the Native Americans.

It is honoring the Native Americans imho. I believe that everyone knows that but the cancel culture is real.

People need to stop. They are proud of their mascots. They did not pick the mascot to be derogatory! I mean seriously what's next? Will some Kmart cowboy get mad at Dallas and want them to change their name because they believe cowboys should be more like brokeback mountain and less "manly"? Will they start a petition to change Winter's mascot because the snowflakes take offense? Better get rid of the dragons because they can be mean and it is not good for little children? That pied Piper has to go because he took kids!?! Oh and we do not want to hurt the feelings of every animal out there right !?! Freaking people..... If they had their way every team would be named Shiner Football Team, Post Football Team, etc...... Well until they start changing town names like Comanche, Apache Bend, Waco and other cities named for tribes. And them what about the cities named for..... Well you get my point. The craziness has to stop!
