Third time Falls City will face Mart in the Semifinals game. Interestingly, Windthorst is one of the other Region winners. We played Windthorst in 2010 for the State Championship, which FC won. The other Region winner is Wellington, our other State Game opponent, who beat FC in 2013. Definitely, 2020 has been an interesting year. Our former coach is back in FC and we are excited for the opportunity to play Mart. Coach K is 2-0 in Semifinal games. Let's hope that it's 3-0, but if we fall short, it's been a very good year. A claim that only 3 other teams can make in 2A Division II this year. Go Beavers!!!

Good luck Beaver Gal and Falls City. I'd love a 2013 rematch but we both have huge games in front of us. Just blessed to still have a hometown team to root for this late in the year.

Falls City has a great program. Year in and year out they are at least 3 rounds deep.

WIndthorstfan - You guys have an outstanding program as well. When I was younger I think there was a coach Green who had some sons and they beat up everyone back then. Felt like they've always been in the playoffs and a threat to anyone they faced. Plus I've always liked their logo.

Green got run out of town after the 2011 season. Don't know the total back story, but there was a lot of disappointment we didn't play at AT&T Stadium that year as we were upset by Munday in the Region Finals as they returned not 1, not 2, but 3 kick-offs for Touchdowns. Think we held them to less than 200 yards of offense and lost 28-35. We probably weren't going to beat Reginald Davis and his Tenaha team that year but sure would have liked to take our shot instead of losing to a rival that we beat by 3 TDs in district.

Beaver Gal - Sadly we won't have our state title reunion. Has to be tough running into Mart every year but still an amazing group of young men y'all have. How many seniors did yall lose?

WindthorstFan - Congrats on taking us down. Sounds like it was a physical/smash mouth game. Going to be special for the boys to play in the big stadium for the title. Maybe we'll see y'all again next year.

Thanks everyone! I sure hope a lot of high school kids move to Mart before October 2021! Mart is the real deal. I don't think Windthorst will be able to hang with them, but that's why you play the game.

I will say that I have been reading the chat board in the Football Friday app, and I hope that if you read it that you realize that not all FC people are as awful as some of the posters in that app. I am embarrassed by many of their comments.

BeaverGal, I do post sometimes on that app. Used to post a lot. But I’ve decided to take a hiatus here recently. And it’s been invigorating lol.
