On the 4th update for Lonestar Cup Standings:

1. Shiner 77
2. Gruver 66
2. Mason 66
4. Burton 56
5. New Home 55

Not sure if there is anything left to be counted. They’re saying this will likely be the final standings. Correct me if I’m wrong.

Shiner has also won the Texas Cup. I had to look that one up. Never heard of it before this year. Here is a breakdown from the post I saw.

Shiner High School has won the inaugural THSADA Texas Cup for Class 2A presented by the Texas High School Athletic Directors Association!

Shiner wins the Texas Cup with 62 Points!

Top 5 Finishers - Class 2A

Shiner 🏆 62 PTS
Gruver 60 PTS
Lipan 50 PTS
Mason 50 PTS
Burton 50 PTS

The TEXAS CUP is athletic competition sponsored by the Texas High School Athletic Directors Association that aims to determine the highest achieving high school sports programs in the State of Texas. Points will be earned by place finished in district, regional and state competition with a graduated system of points as a team advances in competition beyond district play. Sports for which points will be awarded will be All SPORTS which UIL recognizes as a TEAM state champion.

Verification of points earned by a sport are verified through THSADA. The Texas Cup is awarded annually to six high schools, one in each of the six UIL classifications (1A, 2A, 3A, 4A, 5A and 6A), based on their team performance in district, playoffs and state championships. The winning schools in each classification will receive the Texas Cup trophy. Honoring the highest achieving overall athletic programs in Texas, the Texas Cup is open to all UIL participant high schools.

That's great news! I'm not surprised since Shiner had athletes galore across all sports.
