100%. That is why I said that we understand that isn't a given. Too much has to go right. But the program seems to be building towards something. We have fielded some solid teams for many years, but the last few years after the coaching change seem to just have a different feel to it. Buy-in by the kids has definitely increased, and lots of buzz around town. Anyways, I have no idea what is going to happen, I was just showing a cool video

It might be Refugio, Thorndale, or Kenedy! Jk. I think they have good teams but I do believe it'll be Shiner or Ganado.

I know it's just a habit to always put Refugio in the mix based off the last 18 years but next year is a true rebuild year. They will have a lot of underclassmen starting and barring any injuries id expect them to go at least 2 rounds. Three rounds mean they overachieved and everything went right. Four rounds mean that they have the coach of the year on the sideline and also that I was wrong about everything lol. But seriously I think it'll take a few weeks at the beginning of season for everyone else to figure out that these aren't the same bobcats of years past. Time for the Thorndale's and Kenedy's of the world to get their licks back lol.

Everyone I know in Ganado keeps saying Refugio will get move ins and it'll be business as usually with a 4 round team. Lol

And that's just another misconception. Refugio will need 4-5 starters move in. And the last few decades Refugio has not had any more move ins than the average town. 99% of the athletes have been in Refugio since elementary school and the few names that people throw out as move ins aren't actually move ins and ill gladly let anyone know who were move ins if they name them. I heard one person said Jordan King was a move in lol.

Yea. I think winning for nearly 70 years has many people jealous. Even some of the current powerhouses they have only been good for 10-30 or even 40 years.

DCTF has an article about 10 coaches who could win state at their new school in their first season there. They have Garrison on there but I really don't see them beating Joaquin.
