Yea. Herring knew this. I am surprised he didn't hang around 2 more years. Joke in Ganado is we put Herring into retirement. But seriously I know he is almost stress free.

Yes it was all about his health because he knew he had at least 2 more good teams coming. But since his decreased role his health has improved tremendously. Refugio will have a lot of underclassman playing next year. Will be hurting on the off and def line but not so much at the skill positions. But will be first time since 2006 that we will not have a championship caliber team but still expect to go a few rounds in playoffs depending on seeding and who they play round 2.
