Refugio Mason was relatively close. Surprised me. Refugio didn't play as clean a game as last week. Mason was able to prevent the big play besides the 1st drive.

Didn't surprise me. After watching film, I thought Mason was closer to Weimer than Ganado. But what I said this week when people asked me was that if we have penalties and turnovers the game will be close like Weimer and RL. But if we play like last week where we only had a few penalties that I can remember and hardly any turnovers we would win comfortably. Mason had a very good defensive gameplan to stop the run but was leaving one on one's a lot during the game on the outside. They put a lot of pressure on the safety to come down in the box to stop the run but also to try to get back and help with the pass. Overall, I thought Mason played about as good a game as they could've on defense but just really couldn't get anything going on offense which turned out to be the difference in the game.

Take away one play for Ganado and one for Mason and Refugio only gave up one td vs each of them.

I think the cold hurt Refugio also. It's hard to throw in that weather. Ganado should have forced Refugio to throw and put our corners in 1 in 1 situations. Probably would have gotten burned but getting ran all over wasn't pretty either. Lol

I expect Refugio to play better with warmer temperatures next Thursday. I'll be there as I live near Houston. I saw y'all play San Augestine years ago but I expect Joaquin to play Refugio. They're playing very good football.

Joaquin seems to be on a furious mission in the playoffs. Second year in a row to kinda come out of nowhere.

They're 9-4 but playing some great football.
