Wow, didn't realize McDade and Snook were in the same district. McDade has 21 athletes in their JH program - 9 of which are 8th graders. With only one senior on this year’s varsity team, the Bulldogs could return 12 lettermen and nine freshmen for 2026

McDade is a growing community, too close to that greater Austin area. I’m stunned by these poor numbers though. Especially since I’m pretty sure they’ll never be 6-man again.

Itasca has joined the list of teams who have now cancelled the rest of their season. They were down to 13 players due to injuries.

Ganado's jv had 11 vs Schulenburg. Only lost 7-12.

Doesn’t surprise me. Below Burg’s senior class, there is a large void of talent from 8th-11th. Couple of juniors are decent, but they are screwed the next 4-6 years.

Abilene TLCA Eagles are now down to 12 players, with three games left to play in district. They still have to play, Stamford, Hawley, and Anson.

Windy, since you are from the area, do you know anything about the Olney ISD situation. We spoke to a lady from Olney, and she told us that they are on their second Superintendent and their second Head Football Coach since the first of the school year. Have you heard anything????

She also told us that her grandson is a junior and since Junior high, he has had five different football coaches.
