I don't have a dog in the hunt either way, but if memory serves, Muenster has beaten two good teams in Windthorst and De Leon, so I'm going with Muenster 28 to 17.

I haven't followed Collinsville closely but they are putting up a lot of points, have an unblemished record & appear to not have missed a beat from a very solid senior led team last year so I expect week 10 to be a barn burner in Collinsville.
Comparing the non-district schedule, Muenster definitely gets the nod on the quality of opponents. Minus week1 TAPPS opponent the current combined record is 22-7 for our non-district opponents with multiple teams ranked or were ranked in the top 10 when we played them. 3A Div1 Pottsboro, 3A Div2 Holliday & ranked Windthorst. Also scrimmaged top 10 3A Div2 Jacksboro & WF City View. District rival Lindsay was in the top 10 when we played them as well.
There was some discussion on another chat about DCTF quality of ranking teams & to add to that discussion, DCTF jumped Collinsville from #4 to #2 with a 44-0 win over Chico (1-6) while Muenster remained at #3 after beating ranked Lindsay by the same 44-0 score with both games being played in week 7. Rankings are fun to follow & give some validation on how well a team is performing but we all know the games are settled on the field & not in rankings or chat boards.
Muenster is playing a very balanced offense with a much improved secondary after getting torched early in the season.
Lastly, the only common opponent is Lindsay. Collinsville gave up 21 points while Muenster shut Lindsay out.

Muenster does get the quality of opponents, but they lost to two of them. That being said, they're looking very explosive on offense and sound defensively.
Collinsville beat 2 loss Tioga, holding their high powered passing offense to the lowest point total in at least 3-4 years. Tioga's other loss was to currently undefeated 3A Lone Oak when Tioga's backup QB started the game and broke his collarbone so they were running out of the wildcat with WR's acting as third string QB. Tioga QB1 is back now.
Collinsville beat a physical Cooper team 38-2 which is the worst they've been beat since 2017 when Gunter and Holliday beat them. Cooper is very similar to playing Bells, those two played this year and the game was 18-14 Bells who scored with 16 seconds left. The stat line was zero yards passing for either team and they had almost exact same number of yards and carries.
We handed Wolfe City their only loss, although we gave up some excessive points late in the game after going up 35-7 before half.
Lindsay may have scored 21 but their yards per play was very low, they benefitted from starting once on the 9 yard line after a muffed punt and scored one late. Sometimes football games just go like that, which is why comparing scores doesn't always work.
Next Weeks game vs Muenster is going to be a slugfest!

I "called" out DCTF on their FB posting of the new rankings when that happened! Ultimately the State Champion is who is honored and remembered not team XYZ that finished the season ranked #9 etc...

Should be a great game. I don't really know much about either team but based on the little I do know it should be a very good game. Toss up.

District 8 has 2 teams in the top 5. Gotta feeling these two teams will meet further down the line, although you never want to count Albany and Windthorst out. Region 2 is strong again this year. If you wanna beat Muenster you gotta stop that QB. He’ll slip thru a crease and rack up some yards. When you key on the run, he’ll throw the ball. Collinsville may be better than they were last year even after losing their star qb. They’ve also got a balanced attack. Collinsville may have bigger lineman, but Muenster opens up some holes and good on defense. This could be a high scoring game WTH the team who scores last being the winner.
