My beans to chuckwagon connection was actually homage to the rest stop by Quanah on 287 where they have info on the cattle drives and such. One board in there has nicknames for the food that the cowboys would use. One that made me laugh was calling the beans "Prairie Whistlers."

I had never heard of that one before.
