Shiner hosts big games vs Ganado Friday. Likely for 1st place in softball and 2nd place in baseball.

Weimar looking to damage across all sports next year and beyond with the current 8th graders? I hate to see Weimar struggling like this in baseball with such a rich history.
I went to the Shiner-Weimar baseball game last night. It was rouuuuugh. No grit from the upper classmen. Shiner won 18-1!!! I love Shiner’s pop in the lineup 1-9. The Poler kid is a stud.

As for the incoming freshmen next year, the only sport I expect them to make a massive impact in year 1 is Basketball. There should be 4-5 on Varsity, with 3 starting. The two high level tourney players may be DPOY and OPOY as Freshmen. The ones on varsity will be all over 6 foot with two 6’3 (maybe taller by next season).

Football. 4-6 with 2-3 starting. Similar to Ganado last year. Just hard for a class of Freshmen to make much of an impact outside of one or two that are physically ready.

Baseball. Probably 3-4 but no pitching unfortunately.

Tell me again what JH you announce at? We beat a few Montgomery county teams last year out of Conroe ISD and Magnolia.
