I'd like to see Rogers in 2a.

I'm curious if Hallettsville will go down to 3a d2. They have 369.

I know we are talking about this realignment, but looking ahead, Weimar has some gigantic classes that will be figured into the next realignment. If everything stays the same, Weimar will jump from 214 to 247 in the next round.

My guess is there will be move ins. I know I have some Houston area friends that have kids at 6A schools that are done with the area and are inquiring about land and housing. I'd rather keep it the same, but some of them have some athletes, so I won't be disappointed if they come.

I wonder how that is going to affect Sealy, Columbus, Ganado, EB, Boling, Brazos and Bellville in the coming years. Many Houston area parents, with the means to travel for work, are looking to get the hell out of dodge, and that includes Montgomery County families as well. When we moved to Magnolia in 2013, it was a 4A school. Now it is firmly in 6A and traffic is a nightmare. We moved to Weimar in 2023 to get away from it all.

My family moved from Tomball to Ganado in 2001. We all graduated in 2002, 2004, 2006, and 2008. My siblings and I.

Tomball is adding a 3rd high school.

Brazos seems to be getting bigger and I think they'll be 4a before long. Ganado I don't think will be moving up because we're not getting move ins.

Ganado does seem to be far enough out, similar to Weimar to not get many move ins, but you never know.

On a side note, I had a conversation today with someone (who would hear things) on realignment this year, and he thinks 2A/3A cutoff to be either 249 or 250. So either Canadian or Burg would be your biggest 2A.

Ganado was going to get a neighborhood as someone purchased 1k acres or close to it. Somehow it go scratched... I think the big names didn't want the town to grow. Yes I see 249 or 250. I want Schulenburg to stay down but we'll see!

Wharton and El Campo aren't growing either but Beasley and Kendleton are big time. East Bernard won't be able to stop the growth soon. Sealy will be about as far as the growth goes.

I saw a on X that of the schools that existed in 2023 and 2025 enrollment is down 44,244 students. If you add in the schools not there in 2023, that only regains 14,165 students, so a decrease of 30K students in UIL.

Ya know, I’m hearing these sort of things around here too. Lots of parents are opting to either homeschool their kids or take the new private school option that’s on the horizon. Shiner is allegedly seeing numbers drop at the grade school levels more and more. People keep expecting Shiner to go 3A one day. I think it’s more likely we end up back in 2AD2 at this rate.

From what I’m hearing there are 203 schools in 3A if going by the previous cutoff numbers, and there are 215 in 2A. This is entirely based on football numbers. Not basketball. So if that’s true. I could actually see them not changing anything at all. Leave it at 254 and let 2A have a bit more this round. Actually 3A would have 2 more then last time as well. Must have been some 4A schools potentially below the line too. 4A is always a tough one to manage.
